Hey! tenía la intención de subir esto hoy mucho más temprano pero como no pude por tener mucho trabajo lo subo a la mitad de la noche... y como es media noche sorry pero no voy a traducirlo... en verdad perdón pero ya tengo mucho sueñoo

En fin este es uno de esos premios que se les da a los blogs que tienen menos de 200 seguidores

Les advierto que yo soy cero de hacer DIY's pero intentaré que mis respuestas sean interesantes en verdad haha.

Honestamente ningunas... no soy mucho de hacer manualidades básicamente por que no me doy el tiempo, aunque si tengo todo un board de DIY en pinterest haha

Learning to love yourself: Quick Tip

Todas tenemos batallas internas contra nosotras mismas, a veces es tanta la presión que ponemos en nuestros hombros para ser "perfectas" que es literalmente desgastante. Cada "defecto" que encontramos en nosotras se va quedando grabado, hasta que nos creemos que en verdad es enorme ese "defecto" y que debe ser eliminado de una u otra manera.

 

defectos? que es eso?? (I know I'm flawed... I'm just kidding)

 

Les escribo esto porque yo he llevado una batalla de por vida conmigo misma, de amarme a odiarme hasta llegar al punto de aprender a aceptarme a mí y a mi cuerpo tal y como es.

 

Hoy les quiero compartir un pequeño tip que a veces uso para dar ese pasito a tener una autoestima más saludable y amarnos más :) .

 

Esto es lo que vas a hacer:

 

En la mañana cuando te levantes y vayas a verte al espejo, no empieces por decir "que horrible me veo, que ojeras tan grandes!", desde ahí ya empezaste mal tu día.

 

No digas ni pienses nada, toma tu tiempo para admirar tu rostro, tu cabello, tu cuerpo. Elije una cosa que te guste de ti, solo una. Por ejemplo a mí la verdad me gustan mis ojos, son pequeños y por lo general lucen cansados gracias a mis ojeras (las tengo desde pequeña..), pero son míos. Esos ojos que están ahí frente al espejo no los tiene nadie más. Puede que tal vez encuentre ojos parecidos, pero jamás unos que se igualen a los míos.

 

 

 

Eso que elegiste, ya sean tus ojos, tu cabello, tu sonrisa... es única. TÚ eres única, no hay nadie que tenga esa sonrisa, o ese cabello. Eso es lo que te hace especial y perfecta.

 

Ahora solo sonríele a tu reflejo y di "en verdad mis ojos/cabello/labios son hermosos, yo soy hermosa y soy única".

 

Ahora sí estás lista para comenzar con el pie derecho! Sal y muéstrale al mundo lo hermosa que eres por ser diferente a ellos!

 

Espero que en verdad les ayude este consejo, que igual no fue tan rápido, pero es algo que pueden aplicar cuando se vean al espejo, en lugar de criticarse, busquen mejor algo bueno en ustedes, todo es bueno, pero es difícil encontrarlo por toda la publicidad que vemos en el mundo de lo que es "bello" y que no lo es.

 

Alégrense de ser únicas y diferentes! Eso es lo que las hace especiales :D

 

Siempre recuerden que nadie es perfecto.

 

 

We all have inner battles with ourselves, sometimes is just too much the pressure we put on our shoulders to be “perfect” it’s literally exhausting. Each “imperfection” we find in ourselves sticks in our mind, to the point where we believe such “imperfection” is really there and must be eliminated, one way or another.

 

I write this because I have been battling with myself all my life, going from love, to hate, to slowly learning to accept myself and my body as it is. Today I want to share a small tip I sometimes use to help myself into a healthy self-esteem and to learn how to love myself more every day.

 

Here’s what you’re going to do:

 

When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, don’t start by saying “omg, I look terrible, look at those huge dark circles!” you just started your day terribly.

 

Don’t say or think anything, take your time to really appreciate your face, your hair, your body. Choose one thing you like about yourself, just one. For example, I really like my eyes, they’re small and look tired in general because of my dark circles (I’ve had them since I was a child), but they’re mine. Nobody else has the same eyes. Maybe I will find a person whose eyes are alike, but I will never find eyes that are exactly the same as mine.

 

Whatever you chose, whether it’s your eyes, your hair, your smile, whatever it is, it’s unique. YOU are unique; there is no one in the world that has the same smile, or the same hair. That is what makes you special and perfect

 

Now just smile to your reflection and say “I really do have beautiful eyes/hair/lips, I am beautiful and I am unique”.

 

And now you’re ready to start your day with the right foot! Go out there and show the world just how beautiful you are by being different than everyone else!

 

I really hope you find this tip helpful, even though it wasn’t really quick, but it’s something you can put in practice every time you look in the mirror, instead of pointing put everything you dislike about yourself, just try to find something you like. Everything about you is good and perfect, it’s just hard to notice thanks to all the publicity around us telling us what’s “beautiful” and what’s not.

 

Be happy for being unique and different! That’s what makes you special :D

Review & swatches: Ima Goodkisser by The Balm Cosmetics

 

Hay tantas cosas que decir de este producto! Pero bueno, empecemos por lo primero.

Honestamente lo primero que me llamó la atención de esta marca, The Balm Cosmetics, aparte de que jamás la había visto hasta hace unos meses, es el empaque de todos los productos. Tienen un toque vintage, me recuerda mucho a todas las publicidades e ilustraciones que usaban en los 50's y 60's. Había estado en la búsqueda de un labial coral para usar en primavera y verano, la mayoría de mis labiales son rojos haha. Cuando vi este labial pensé que sería un buen punto de partida para probar productos de The Balm.

 

There are so many things to say about this product! Let’s just start from the beginning. Honestly the first thing that caught my eyes about this brand, The Balm Cosmetics, besides I had never seen it until a few months ago, was the packaging in all of its products. They all have this vintage, 50’s – 60’s vibe going on with the illustrations they use. I had been on the search of a coraly lipstick to use in spring and summer; most of my lipsticks are red… So when I saw this lipstick I thought it would be a good starter product from The Balm.

 

Al principio, para ser honesta, me decepcionó un poco el empaque en sí del labial, esperaba mucho más después de ver la línea de diseño de la marca. Es prácticamente del mismo tamaño y diseño que un labial de MAC. El nombre del tono que compré es Ima Goodkisser, se me hizo bastante original y pegajoso la verdad. Todos los productos de The Balm tienen nombres originales, me hacen recordar un poco a los productos de Benefit.

 

At first to be honest, I was a little disappointed by the container itself; I was expecting so much more after seeing the design of the packaging on all the other products. It’s basically the same design and size of a MAC lipstick. The name od the one I bought is Ima Goodkisser, which I think it’s so original and catchy. All of The Balm products have original names; they make me think actually of Benefit products.

 

Otra cosa que igual no me convenció al principio es que el acabado es como un frost de MAC, la verdad hasta ahora solo tenía dos labiales con este acabado, no soy fan honestamente, prefiero mis labiales matte, ya si no, con un acabado glossy. Después cuando hice la aplicación, como no puedes en si probar el producto porque viene completamente sellado, me topé con la sorpresa de que era más rosa que coral, cosa que al siguiente minuto ya no me molestó, ni el acabado frost ni el tono rosa.

 

Another thing I wasn’t liking about it was the finish, it has like a frost finish to it. I only own two lipsticks with that finish and I don’t wear them that much, I like my lips matte or even glossy some times, but never frost. Then when I first swatched it my hand it turned out to be more pinky than a coral shade, I was so sad =( then at the next minute, when I tried it on my lips, it didn’t bother me anymore, not the pinky shade or the frost finish.

 

 

 

Además de estar buscando un labial tono coral, también tenía muchas ganas de comprar uno rosa, pero ya que no es un tono que use regularmente no sabía que tono de rosa sería el mejor. Debo aceptar que este me encanta, lo usé casi 4 días seguidos! Creo que es un tono hermoso para la primavera, y tal vez también para el verano.

 

To say the truth I was also looking for a pink lipstick, but since I don’t actually use pink I wasn’t sure what shade to get. I must admit I actually love this one; I used it 4 days in a row! I think it’s a perfect shade for spring/summer time.

 

La duración no es la mejor, dura alrededor de 4 horas, pero no me molesta volver a aplicarlo porque me encanta como se ve (además me la paso tomando agua entonces eso no ayuda). No seca los labios ya que tiene una fórmula hidratante, pero como mis labios son los más secos procuro usar un lip balm antes de ponerme cualquier labial.

 

The lasting power isn’t great actually, it lasted around 4 hrs but I wasn’t upset I had to retouch because I just love how it looks (also it doesn’t help that I drink water all day long). It is not drying at all, actually the formula is hydrating, but since my lips are always super dry I always use a lip balm before the application of any lipstick.

 

Espero que les sirva mi opinión, en general a pesar de las sorpresas que me llevé debo decir que es un muy buen producto, y seguramente compraré más de esta marca más adelante. Espero que tengan un excelente día!

Hey chicas! Solo hago este post para reportarme e informarles que sigo con vida! He estado muy ausente y mi consciencia ya me lo está reclamando! Extraño mi blog, solo que ultimamente no encuentro el tiempo para hacer las cosas, mi vida está un poco desorganizada pero estoy tratando de poner todo en orden para poder volver y amarlos y compartir cosas (:

 

Por lo pronto tengo algunas reseñas en puerta, si me siguen en instagram (@katiezellet) o en twitter (es el mismo usuario haha) habrán visto que ayer compré unas cosillas de una marca que va llegando a México, The Balm Cosmetics. Así que bueno tengo eso planeado.

 

También como me corté el cabello de la manera que casi ninguna mujer lo haría haha, estoy trabajando en que mi cabello crezca lo más saludable posible. Me he teñido el cabello constantemente desde que tengo 16 años, así que les puedo asegurar que mi cabello está MEGA maltratado. Compré un shampoo que bueno... dicen que hace milagros... haha bueno no tanto pero me comentaron que es muy bueno, solo quiero esperar a usarlo un buen tiempo y ver que resultados obtengo para poder traerles una reseña decente n_n.

Hey folks! I'm just writing this post to report and inform you that I'm still alive! I've been so missing from this space and my conscience is starting to kick my butt! I do miss blogging, it's just that lately I can't find the time to do anything, my life's a bit disorganized at the moment but I'm trying to sort things out so I can come back and love everyone and share things and stuff (:

 

Meanwhile I have some reviews in mind, if you guys follow me on instagram (@katiezellet) or at twitter (it's the same user name haha I'm so lazy) you would know that just yesterday I bought some bits and bobs from The Balm Cosmetics, which just started selling here in México some months ago.

 

Also! Since I literally chopped my hair in a way I swore I would never do again, I'm working really hard to get my hair to grow as healthy as possible. I've been dying my hair ever since I was 16, so you could say my hair is pretty damaged. So I bought this shampoo which people say it's a miracle and what not.. haha okay, maybe not a miracle perse, but i've heard good things about it, I'm just waiting to write the review cuz I wanna use it for a little while and see if it's working so I can write a decent post for y'all.

 

And I will start writing in english as you just noticed! This is just an experiment, we'll see how it turns out. PLEASE! Let me know if my english sucks so I can improve my writing! I'm also getting ready to launch a facebook page but I just need to make some adjustments to the design and concept of the whole blog, but I promise I'll be back soon!
